Honoring Actor Patrick Murray: Legendary Classic Sitcom Actor Passes Away at the Age of 68

The actor Patrick Murray, widely recognized for portraying Mickey Pearce in the iconic television show Only Fools and Horses, has left us at 68 years old.

Back in 2021, the actor shared that he received a diagnosis of cancer and underwent an procedure to take out a tumor in his lung in its early stages.

He mentioned in 2022 that his oncologist had informed him that his “cancer was cured and that the growth in his liver was shrinking”, but by April 2023 he announced it had returned.

Acting Achievements

The actor starred as Mickey, a simple-minded friend of the character played by David Jason Del Boy and Nicholas Lyndhurst’s Rodney Trotter, throughout two dozen episodes of the sitcom between 1983 and 2003.

Earlier in his career, the performer starred in movies like Quadrophenia, Scum, and Curse of the Pink Panther.

Other small-screen credits included the 1990s comedy series The Upper Hand, The Bill, ITV Playhouse, and Bergerac.
