The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the death bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets have started writing about PlayStation as a new development. 2025 was complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft continues to plan to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its key platform.

The Immediate Additions

A pair of titles currently accessible as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Major Titles on the Horizon

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service by themselves. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — rendering them excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
