Young golfer getting ready for significant tournament

The rising star maintains considerable online audience

Kai Trump will have numerous well-known cheerleaders when she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, owns several courses worldwide and regularly competes against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Simply stay calm."

"My grandpa practically advised me to play and relax," she added.

"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."

While still amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds position 461 in AJGA standings.

Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He represents the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.

"Additionally, he's a superior individual. He advised me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."

Kai will face some of most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Officials commented that involving Kai exposes golf to new audiences, particularly among youth audiences.

Kai has a massive following and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness company.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
