Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople confirmed on late Wednesday. The athlete was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

Joshua had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”

This update on his health follows the global fight fans had expressed sympathy for the fighter in the following the terrible crash.
