Zayn Malik & Louis Tomlinson Will Come Together for Streaming Giant Road Trip Series
Ex- One Direction stars Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are poised to come together for a new Netflix road trip series.
The documentary series will allegedly track the pair as they travel throughout the United States. Directing will be Nicola Marsh, the director also directed the Demi Lovato documentary called Child Star.
This news arrives approximately a year after the tragic death of their ex- group member Liam Payne, who died in an accident in Argentina. In a homage shortly after, Malik called Payne as his “brother” during a show, while Tomlinson described him “an essential piece” of One Direction via Instagram.
This band, formed on a talent show in 2010, became one of the most successful boybands of all time, selling over 70 m albums. Malik left in 2015 and has since pursued a solo career, while Tomlinson put out his latest record recently.
Prior to Payne’s death, rumors indicated that the band was considering a reunion performance. Payne has since been featured posthumously in Netflix’s talent competition Building the Band.
Zayn and Louis were involved in a social media disagreement back in 2015, when the former claimed the other of making “snide comments” online.
The pair were spotted together not long ago, and Tomlinson was asked about rumors that they could be working together. “I heard that,” he responded. “I found that was pretty interesting, yeah … Very perceptive. I suppose they’ll just have to wait and see.”
Last month, Malik announced a Vegas residency scheduled for next year.
The as-yet untitled show is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2026. It represents the latest star-fronted documentary venture on the service, with forthcoming films focusing on names including Victoria Beckham, Eddie Murphy, and the pop group Take That.
